I originally wrote this blog late last night but was too exhausted to post it. This morning, I woke up intending to just upload it to the site and hit publish—but I was met with the full force of the energy I had written about. It was a powerful shift, and I realized I had insights I was excited to share.

Let me back up.
Yesterday, I shared in my stories about a purchase I was so excited to receive: a disco ball purse! The disco ball has been part of what I’d call my personal brand for months now—it’s bold, joyful, and unapologetically fun, just like the energy I strive to embody.
The response to my story was amazing. So many people reached out, not just to rave about the purse itself, but to connect with the enthusiasm I shared about it. That got me thinking: was it really the purse people loved? Or was it my energy—the excitement I felt about something that genuinely lights me up?
I have been using the phrase “Shine Your Light” for months and that moment reminded me of something powerful: our light is magnetic when we let it shine.
So I woke up this morning to feel the new transit energy landing in my body—a clear pull to slow down, refocus, and let myself reconnect with the joy and play that make life meaningful. After weeks of intensity and pushing hard, it felt like the Universe saying, Hey, remember what this is all for.
The Energy of Focus and Play
This week, the Sun moves into Gate 9, the Gate of Focus, and the Earth into Gate 16, the Gate of Enthusiasm, bringing us energy that’s all about slowing down and embracing the small steps that create big impact.
Gate 9: Small Steps, Big Impact
Gate 9 carries the energy of the changing power of the small—the idea that tiny, deliberate actions can transform everything.
But let’s talk about its shadow: Inertia. No Matter your goals, after the high-powered energy of Gate 34 last week, you may feel exhausted, stuck, or overwhelmed by the sheer size of what’s ahead.
The Gift of Gate 9 is Determination. It’s the ability to take that first step, even if you can’t yet see the whole path. This isn’t about conquering the mountain in one day. It’s about looking at your feet, taking one small step, and trusting the process.
Gate 16: Finding Joy in the Process
Gate 16 reminds us that mastery isn’t about perfection or rushing to the finish line. It’s about experimenting, playing, and refining. This energy encourages us to embrace curiosity and enthusiasm, to try things for the sake of trying, and to rediscover the joy that comes with mastery.
This energy feels so aligned with how I felt about my disco ball purse. It’s the little things—the details, the fun, the play—that light us up and make everything else worthwhile. My enthusiasm for fashion and finding the perfect accessory is something that lights me up.
Mercury Retrograde: A Call to Integrity
And then there’s Mercury. Currently retrograde in Gate 26, the Gate of Integrity, it’s here to make sure we’re keeping it real.
This energy invites us to pause and reflect: Are we using our voice with clarity and honesty? Are we staying true to our values, or are we trying to rush or cut corners?
After spending a couple of days in Gate 11 (Ideas), Mercury has returned to Gate 26, bringing us back to its themes before we can fully move forward. Known as the changing power of the great, Gate 26 asks us to revisit how we use our influence and resources. Are we leading with strength and kindness? Are we creating space for alignment, or are we stuck in the shadows of over-promising or withholding?
This moment is a reminder that big, transformative change doesn’t come from force—it comes from clarity, integrity, and connection. Revisiting these themes now will help ensure that when we do move forward, it’s with authenticity and purpose.
How I’m Embracing This Energy
After last week’s intensity, I’m letting this week’s energy guide me back to the small details that make the process fun. Instead of trying to do it all, I’m asking myself:
•What’s one thing I can do today that feels aligned and joyful?
•How can I bring more curiosity and play into my work?
•Where can I let go of the need to control the outcome and simply trust the process?
This shift has also inspired me to refocus on something I’m creating for January—a signature offer all about deconditioning our outward expression so it reflects the inner work we’ve done. I won’t get into the details just yet, but it’s going to be about stepping into who you truly are and letting your light shine—boldly, unapologetically, and with joy. I can’t wait!
