Some weeks, the energy feels like a gentle tap on the shoulder. Other weeks, it’s more like being cracked open—heart first, with no roadmap. Last week may have felt like both—and as we enter this new cycle, it’s as if those themes are still echoing, asking us to stay present for what’s unfolding now.
Since coming back from Austin, I’ve been moving slower. Not just physically, but in how I’m approaching my work, my relationships, my creativity. There’s a tenderness to it—this way of letting each day unfold without rushing clarity. I’ve felt a deep pull toward expression, but not in the usual, goal-oriented way. More like… making beauty just because I can. Just because it wants to move through me.
It’s no surprise then, that this week’s Human Design transits bring us the Sun in Gate 2, the Gate of Higher Knowing, and the Earth in Gate 1, the Gate of Self-Expression. This is a powerful pairing—yin and yang in conversation. The quiet pull of inner direction meets the bold spark of creative identity.
And I’ve been living right in the middle of that dance.
During the Karma Clearing by Design Masterclass I recently did with Jess Tilly, I shared some of what’s been moving through me since Austin. (If you missed it, you can find the replay in the group for the next 30 days.) What’s really landed is how much of my design points me toward creativity—not as output, but as integration. My Unconscious Moon in Gate 1.4, the Artist Alone. My Conscious Uranus in Gate 1.1, creation without motive. My Conscious Sun in Gate 14, always seeking Gate 2 to connect with purpose.
Writing these blogs has been a mirror. A way to watch myself unfold. To feel how the act of expressing what I’m living teaches me more than any analysis ever could. That’s the energy we’re in right now. Creation not for performance, but for clarity. Not for direction, but for devotion.
And Gate 2—the seat of the Magnetic Monopole—asks us: What are we willing to receive? What are we already receiving that we haven’t even acknowledged yet? Are we present enough to feel the abundance of what’s already arriving?
☀️ Sun in Human Design Gate 2: The Gate of Higher Knowing
Gate 2 holds a subtle but profound power. This is the seat of the magnetic monopole—the force that draws people, places, and experiences into our lives. It doesn’t initiate. It doesn’t chase. It doesn’t push.
It attracts. Que the song Magnet by Able Heart.
But here’s what most people don’t understand: The magnetic monopole responds to what we focus on. When we say yes to things that don’t align with our true self, when we tolerate situations that don’t feel right, when we stay in environments that suppress our essence—we’re teaching that magnetic monopole to keep drawing more of that in.
What we focus on grows. What we resist persists. Because where we place our attention, we amplify.
If we focus only on the pain, the chaos, the fear—that’s what we’ll continue to attract. Not because we’re being punished. But because that’s what we’re tuning ourselves to receive.
This doesn’t mean we ignore the real problems of the world. If there’s a dumpster fire outside your house, put it out. But focusing on all the fires we can’t impact doesn’t elevate the energy of the planet. It drains us.
Gate 2, at its essence, is about trusting the flow of life and staying attuned to what’s possible when we align with love, oneness, and the truth of who we are. It’s the quiet knowing that when we’re in resonance, life responds. And when we aren’t—we recalibrate.
🌍 Earth in Human Design Gate 1: The Creative
Gate 1 is where so much of my personal tension and power lives. It’s the creative force that wants to move through me, whether I understand it or not. With both my Conscious Uranus (1.1) and my Unconscious Moon (1.4) activating it, it forms a defined channel to Gate 8.6, my Conscious Earth. This is the Channel of Inspiration, and it defines my Throat.
And yet—it’s not connected to a motor. So that expression, as much as it defines my voice, can feel inconsistent. Unstable. Sometimes it flows like a floodgate. Other times, it’s quiet and stuck. Add in the fact that neither of my Gate 1 lines resonates cleanly with my 8.6—and it’s no wonder that self-expression has often felt frustrating or misunderstood.
Gate 1 is pure creative energy. It doesn’t need a reason. It doesn’t seek validation. It simply moves. And when I allow that movement—without trying to shape it into something that makes sense—that’s when I feel most like myself.
🔄 How the Energies Are Interacting
Together, Gate 2 and Gate 1 form a kind of inner partnership. Gate 2 asks us to consider what we are truly able—or prepared—to receive. Are we even acknowledging all we are already receiving? The world is full of beauty, synchronicity, and support. Are we letting ourselves receive that? Are we tuned in to the flow of abundance that’s already around us?
Gate 1, on the other hand, carries the impulse to create, to express, to move energy outward. One gate invites surrender and receptivity; the other urges personal contribution through unique self-expression. One holds the direction. The other provides the creative spark.
When these two energies interact, they invite us into a layered transformation. We may find ourselves feeling disoriented or regimented, like we’ve lost our way—or stuck in the monotony of routines that no longer inspire us. It can feel depressive or even frenetic, as if we’re trying to move without knowing where to go.
But the moment we pause to really see what’s already arriving—what life is offering us right now—we start to reorient. The fog begins to lift. A glimmer of freshness stirs in our system. The inspiration that once felt elusive begins to move through us again, gently and authentically.
And from that space, something beautiful and resonant can emerge. Not because we forced it, but because we allowed it. When we soften our grip on needing to figure it all out and instead trust the quiet nudges, we move closer to something that feels like oneness.
This isn’t about doing more—it’s about trusting more. Trusting that you’ve already received so much guidance, support, and direction… and now, the next step is simply to respond with integrity. To move forward from a place of creative alignment, even if you don’t know where it’s all leading.
This week has reminded me how good it feels to be deeply rooted in self-expression—not needing a destination to justify the movement. The joy is in taking the step, not in knowing the outcome. When you’re grounded in Radical Self-Trust, uncertainty doesn’t feel scary—it feels alive. It feels like possibility.

💫 Current Transit Influences & Key Themes
As I reflect on the energies for later in the week, I can already feel a shift coming—a sense that the energy around leadership, voice, and emotional expression is asking something different of me.
🌀 A Triad of Shifts on May 4: A Turning Point in the Energy
May 4 brings a cascade of energetic changes, all layering on top of the existing Sun and Earth transits to deepen the invitation we’re already sitting with—to receive and to radiate from a grounded, creative center.
♄ Saturn’s move from Gate 36 to Gate 25 invites us to come back to our spiritual core. After weeks of emotional waves and potential turbulence, there’s something beautifully still about Gate 25. It’s a reminder that innocence and essence live beneath the noise. Can we let that purity guide our next step?
☿ Mercury shifts from Gate 51 to Gate 42, and I’m anticipating how this may change the mental weather. Instead of being jolted into action by surprise or disruption, we’re being asked to allow the cycle to complete—to honor the fullness of something coming to a close. What stories are ready to finish themselves without being forced?
☾ And then the Moon, moving through Gate 7, temporarily completes the 7-31 channel with Mars still in Gate 31. It creates a brief but potent window where we may feel an urge to lead, speak, or direct energy outward. But the question is: are we truly aligned with what we’re expressing, or are we chasing recognition? Are we speaking from a place of embodied truth—or reacting to stay visible, to be relevant, to prove something? I think of the kind of performative outrage I sometimes see online—strong opinions shared loudly, yet without any real connection or skin in the game. It’s easy to get swept up in the noise, but this transit reminds us to come back to the core of what we actually care about. What are we rooted in? What are we responsible for? What’s ours to say??
Together, these three shifts could feel like a swirl—part release, part emergence, part pause. With the Sun in Gate 2 and the Earth in Gate 1, we’re already dancing between yin receptivity and bold self-expression. These planetary movements don’t contradict that—they amplify it.
We’re being asked to stand firmly in our creative truth, to express without needing approval, and to trust that completion, clarity, and inspiration are already finding us—if we’re present enough to receive them.
🌀 Energy Evolves from May 5 to May 7: From Reflection to Refinement to Resonance
As we move beyond the turning point of May 4, the energetic landscape continues to shift—inviting us into an unfolding process that asks for both stillness and subtlety.
♂ On May 5, Mars leaves the bold directionality of Gate 31 and enters Gate 33, signaling a turn toward reflection. This gate is sometimes called ‘retreat,’ but it’s not about withdrawal—it’s about integration. Mars brings an active intensity here, energizing the process of storytelling and memory with a fiery undercurrent. This is a day to notice what narratives are rising to the surface. What are we choosing to carry forward? What is being rewritten in us through the act of remembering?
It’s not just about personal introspection—this is collective energy. Which stories will we retell? Which ones are ready to be honored and released? This is a moment to reflect on the arc of our own journey and recognize the power of naming and sharing it. Because when we pause long enough to truly integrate, we shape not just our next steps—but what we’ll remember about this season of our lives.
♀ Then on May 6, Venus moves from Gate 25 into Gate 17, shifting from the pure-hearted innocence of spirit into a more logic-driven perspective. This energy can feel like it’s asking us to put words to what we feel, to make sense of our values or justify our beliefs. But with all this yin energy present—from Gate 2’s receptivity to Gate 33’s reflection—it’s important to stay soft. Are we using logic to clarify, or to critique? Are we allowing ourselves—and others—to stay human in the process?
♃ Finally, as we move from May 6 into May 7, Jupiter transitions from Gate 45 to Gate 12. This is a powerful shift—from the external management of resources and leadership to the deeply personal, emotionally nuanced expression of Gate 12. Here, growth comes not from doing more, but from honoring what’s truly alive in us. This is poetry over productivity. Selective sharing over oversharing. Can we let ourselves express from the heart, even when it’s not polished? Can we value presence over performance?
All together, these shifts continue to amplify the message we’ve been sitting with all week: that true leadership—true contribution—comes not from having the loudest voice or the clearest plan, but from trusting our timing, honoring our process, and expressing from the depth of who we are. This is the heart of Radical Self-Trust—believing that what we carry is already enough, and that by staying rooted in our authenticity, we naturally shine our light in ways that ripple outward. It’s not about forcing the next step, but about letting it emerge from a place of clarity, creativity, and quiet knowing.
🌀 Reflection & Integration – What This Is Teaching Me
This week has reminded me that creativity doesn’t always begin with clarity. Sometimes the most aligned thing we can do is take a step—not because we know where it’s headed, but because we trust where it’s coming from.
I’ve been feeling that creative edge—this pull to express something even when I’m not entirely sure why. To speak something true before I’ve found the perfect words. It’s not about performance—it’s about presence. It’s about honoring the whisper before it becomes a shout.
Gate 2 continues to ask: Am I even noticing all that I’m receiving? Am I trusting the subtle nudges, the quiet support, the way life is already showing up for me?
And Gate 1 offers its mirror: Am I honoring my own uniqueness enough to share it? Not once I’ve refined it—but right now, in its raw, radiant form?
As we move through these planetary shifts—Mars inviting us to reflect, Venus asking us to reframe what we value, Jupiter pulling us into deeper emotional expression—I can feel how all of this is supporting the real work: trusting myself more fully. Listening more closely. Choosing to create and receive with openness and grace.
That’s the core of Radical Self-Trust for me: letting the light shine even when the road ahead is still dim. Because the glow doesn’t come from knowing where I’m going—it comes from being fully present to where I am.
✨ Reflection Questions
🔹 What stories am I holding onto that are ready to be honored and released?
🔹 Where am I being asked to trust the timing rather than control the outcome?
🔹 Am I allowing myself to receive the beauty and abundance already present in my life?
🔹 What does authentic expression look like for me right now—without performance or perfection?
🔹 How do I respond when clarity isn’t immediate—can I stay open and curious?
🔹 In what ways am I shining my light just by being present with what is?
🔹 What part of my creative process needs more space, softness, or solitude?
