Do you feel it? The energy has been a lot lately. We’re coming off the heels of a full supermoon in Taurus, and if you’re anything like me, it probably stirred up a lot—old habits, big emotions, maybe even a few uncomfortable truths. And as if that wasn’t enough, Saturn went direct at the exact same time, waking up from its months-long retrograde journey in Gate 63, the Gate of Doubt. This is the gate of “after completion,” the moment when we’ve finished something but are left questioning: Was that the right decision? Did I do enough? What’s next?
If you’re feeling unsettled, you’re not alone. Saturn’s shift, paired with the lingering energy of the supermoon, has cracked open a window into all the ways we second-guess ourselves. And with the South Node in Gate 18, the I Ching Gate of Work on What Has Been Spoiled, the Universe isn’t just inviting us to notice the cracks—it’s asking us to do something about them.
Gate 18 asks us to take an unflinching look at the things in our lives, relationships, and systems that aren’t working. It’s about asking: What needs correcting? What have I been avoiding? Where am I stuck in old patterns that no longer serve me?
The good news? Venus in Gate 58 brings in an energy of joyful vitality, reminding us that even the hardest work can feel light and meaningful when we approach it with optimism and purpose.
From Doubt to Creation: The Energy of the Sun and Earth
The Sun is shining through Gate 14, the Gate of Creation, while the Earth grounds us in Gate 8, the Gate of Fulfillment. Together, these gates are a call to action—not in a way that’s performative, but as a genuine, unapologetic expression of your individuality.
Gate 14 asks us to do what we love, to align with our natural gifts and let abundance flow from there. But here’s the thing about Gate 14: it doesn’t tolerate compromise. If you’re doing something out of obligation or settling for a path that isn’t true to you, this energy will feel heavy and stuck.
Gate 8 reminds us that our individuality has value—not just for us, but for the collective. This is the energy of leading by example, of showing up authentically and letting your presence inspire others. But there’s a shadow here too: mediocrity. When we hold back, blend in, or play small, we miss the chance to fully step into our potential.
Together, these gates are asking: What does it look like to shine your light, without apology, in a way that feels true to you?
The Universe’s Ask: Radical Self-Trust and Collective Growth
The combination of these energies is profound. The Channel of Correction (South Node in Gate 18 + Venus in Gate 58) is asking us to clean up what’s not working, but not from a place of judgment. This isn’t about tearing things down for the sake of it; it’s about building something better.
Meanwhile, the Sun and Earth are reminding us that the first step to building anything meaningful is showing up as ourselves. The bold, creative energy of Gate 14 paired with the grounding authenticity of Gate 8 invites us to lean into our individuality and trust that our unique contribution is exactly what’s needed.
And let’s not forget Saturn’s role in Gate 63. This energy of doubt can easily spiral into hesitation or inaction, but it can also push us toward clarity. Doubt, when used wisely, is a tool for refinement—it helps us question what’s not aligned and move toward what is.
The Universe isn’t asking for perfection. It’s asking for effort. It’s asking for presence. It’s asking for us to trust ourselves enough to take the next step, even if it’s small or imperfect. Radical Self-Trust is the key to navigating this energy. When you trust that everything is happening for you, even the challenges become opportunities for growth.
Reflection Prompts
•Where in my life am I stuck in old patterns that need correcting?
•What does it look like to lean into my individuality and trust my unique gifts?
•How can I use doubt as a tool for clarity instead of letting it hold me back?
•Where can I approach the work of refinement with joy instead of judgment?
Shine Your Light
This week, we’re being asked to do the work—not just the external work of improving our lives, but the internal work of showing up as our true selves. It’s not easy, but it’s worth it.
For me, these gates are a lifelong lesson. They’ve taught me to embrace radical self-trust, to lean into what I love, and to create from a place of authenticity. It’s not always comfortable, but it’s always transformative.
I’d love to hear how this energy is showing up for you. Join the discussion in my Facebook Community and let us know what you’re experiencing this week. And before you go—what do you think of my new website design? I hope you can feel my Gate 8 shining through!
