I’ve gone back and forth about how to begin this blog.
Which, honestly, is kind of perfect for Human Design Gate 12—the Gate of Caution. There’s a vulnerability in speaking your truth, especially when that truth brushes up against collective tension. This isn’t something I’m writing lightly. I’ve sat with it. Paused. Questioned. But the urge to express it hasn’t gone away. And not because my voice is more important than anyone else’s—but because it’s mine. And in this moment, it needs to be heard.
Tomorrow, I’ll be attending No Kings Day—a peaceful demonstration taking place alongside a political parade that’s being marketed as patriotism. But to me, it feels like something else entirely. Not a celebration of country, but a display of control. A reminder of how far we’ve strayed from the promise of democracy, and how close we’ve come to mistaking power for leadership.
What I am standing up to say is: this isn’t the America I believe in.
I believe in life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness—for everyone. I believe in government by the people, not rule by personality. And I believe in the sacred responsibility of using your voice with integrity—which is exactly what this week’s transits are illuminating.
I’ve been hesitant to speak up about this—not because I don’t care, but because I do. Deeply. And I’ve watched how easy it is to become part of the noise. To speak from reaction instead of resonance. But that’s not what this is. This isn’t about resistance for resistance’s sake. It’s about presence. It’s about choosing to stand for something, not just against what’s happening.
And what does any of this have to do with Schitt’s Creek?
Well… there was no king in Schitt’s Creek. Just a fictional town full of flawed people, learning—slowly, awkwardly, beautifully—to see the humanity in one another. Even the most arrogant among them eventually softened. Was humbled. Was loved. And that’s what made it magic.
That’s the kind of place I want to live. A place where everyone gets to show up fully as themselves. Where no one’s voice is silenced. Where dignity isn’t earned—it’s honored.
✨ The Gate 12 Frequency: Caution, Expression, and Emotional Truth
Earlier today, I showed up to our Transit Talk livestream in full Moira Rose energy—dramatic accessories, theatrical flair, and even a wig. It started as a bit of fun, but as the conversation unfolded, I realized something deeper: Moira Rose might be one of the best expressions of Gate 12 I’ve ever seen.
She’s dramatic. She’s self-involved. She’s emotionally intense. And yet… she’s also fiercely loyal, deeply creative, and capable of tremendous growth. Through her journey—and the entire Schitt’s Creek universe—we get to witness what happens when flawed people stop trying to be perfect and start loving each other exactly as they are.
That show worked because it wasn’t about fixing anyone. It was about acceptance. And that’s exactly what Gate 12, when expressed through its highest frequency, invites us into: emotional honesty, authentic timing, and the courage to say what really matters—even if our voice shakes while saying it.
It’s easy to dismiss Gate 12 as just “the gate of caution.” But this isn’t about holding back out of fear. It’s about discerning the right time to use your voice. It’s about not adding to the noise just for the sake of speaking. It’s about feeling the emotional wave fully and honoring when the moment is ready for truth to be expressed.
And when that moment comes? It can move people. It can change hearts. It can build bridges where division once stood.
🌀 Grounded in Vision: The Earth in Gate 11
While the Sun activates Gate 12, the Earth grounds us in Gate 11—the gate of Ideas, Peace, and Conceptual Possibility. This is the energy of dreaming something better into being. Of asking: What if?
- What if our voices could build something new instead of tearing others down?
- What if we could stand in conviction and still remain open-hearted?
- What if the most powerful demonstrations were the ones rooted in presence, humanity, and shared vision?
Gate 11 reminds us that ideas shape reality. That we can’t heal division by mimicking its tactics. That imagination is not an escape—it’s a responsibility.
And yet, here’s the truth: what’s happening right now in America is not just uncomfortable or polarizing—it feels dangerous. I believe Donald Trump is a serious threat to democracy. I don’t say that lightly, and I don’t say it to provoke.
But I also know that dehumanizing anyone—even someone I disagree with deeply—goes against everything I stand for. That’s the tension I’ve been sitting with long before this transit: how to speak truth without turning my voice into a weapon. How to protest without becoming what I oppose.
And that brings me, unexpectedly, back to Schitt’s Creek.
Take Roland Schitt as mayor. He’s full of wild ideas, ego-driven antics, and occasionally downright terrible leadership. But instead of responding with outrage or overthrow, the town finds ways to redirect him. They show up. They speak up. They laugh. They find common ground NOT by pretending everything’s fine—but by staying in relationship.
It’s not a solution to our national crisis, of course. But it is a reminder: the way we show up with each other matters.
So no, I’m not pretending everything’s okay. And I’m not calling for unity at the expense of accountability.
I’m calling for a kind of resistance that refuses to dehumanize.
A kind of protest that roots itself in a clear vison.
A kind of leadership that knows: there are no kings here.
🌌 The Nodal Shift: From Chaos to Compassion, From Crisis to Clarity
Where We Are and Where We’re Headed
With the North Node now in Gate 22 and the South Node in Gate 47, the energetic backdrop around us has changed. Nodal activations aren’t personal in the same way planetary transits are—these shape the environment, how we see the world, and how the world seems to see us. It’s the air we’re breathing, the cultural current we’re swimming in.
And this shift is… emotional.
Gate 22 is part of the individual emotional wave, connecting directly to Gate 12—where the Sun sits this week—creating an amplified invitation to embody emotional presence and grace. But presence is not passivity. This isn’t about staying quiet or polite. It’s about showing up with integrity, staying rooted in your truth without losing your humanity.
On the other side, the South Node in Gate 47 can feel like an old story trying to pull us back—mentally looping through confusion, frustration, or despair. But the high expression of Gate 47 is transfiguration. It’s the willingness to metabolize hardship into wisdom—not by rationalizing it, but by seeing it through new eyes.
These gates aren’t here to help us figure everything out or force clarity. They’re here to help us stay open. To recognize when the moment calls for a softening of heart, or a deeper kind of knowing. To acknowledge that things may feel broken—and yet still believe that beauty can be born from the fracture.
💎 Disco Balls, Moira Rose, and the Humanity in All of Us
Gate 12 reminds us that how we speak matters as much as what we say.
And this week, I showed up to Transit Talk as Moira Rose—playful, dramatic, dripping in affectation… and surprisingly, more poignant than I expected. Because when I think of Moira, I think of someone who didn’t change to fit in. She stayed unapologetically herself. But through the love of community, she softened. She deepened. She showed up—flaws and all—and others did too.
That’s the world I want to live in.
A world where our voices bring healing.
A world where people don’t need to be perfect to be loved.
A world where we see each other as mirrors—each reflecting a piece of the whole.
In the words of Moira Rose:
“When one of us shines, all of us shine.”
This is not a protest.
This is a movement.
I’ll be standing tomorrow with others across the country—not just resisting what I don’t want, but actively calling in what I believe is possible. I’ve hesitated to speak up politically these past few years because I refuse to live in a world built on hate. But I also refuse to stay silent while the people I love are being harmed by the policies of a wannabe monarch.
I’m not here to tear anyone down.
I’m here to move us forward—with emotional integrity, with vision, and with heart.
This isn’t about hate.
It’s about heart.
It’s about presence.
Because what we resist, persists.
And the universe isn’t listening for what we’re shouting against—it’s tuning in to what we’re a match for.
We can’t call in peace while broadcasting fear.
We can’t call in unity while embodying division.
So I’m aligning my frequency with what I do believe in.
A future that’s more generous, more just, more full of light.
And I’ll say it again, in my own words this time:
Shine your light—Shine it bright.
✨ Reflection Questions
🔹 What am I ready to say—not to be understood, but to be fully seen?
🔹 Where am I still trying to dim my light to make others more comfortable?
🔹 If the universe responds to frequency, what energy am I broadcasting right now?
🔹 What would it feel like to take up space with style, sincerity, and soul?
🔹 Where can I offer grace—not just to others, but to the parts of me still becoming?
🔹 Am I creating from fear of what could go wrong… or from devotion to what I know is possible?
📍 Navigating This Energy With Awareness
Gate 12 doesn’t demand we shout louder. It asks us to pause, feel deeply, and choose our words with intention. It teaches us that timing matters—that truth lands when the emotional field is ready to receive it.
And Gate 11 offers the grounding to imagine something more—a world that isn’t ruled by fear, reaction, or hierarchy, but one where ideas can elevate and unite.
☄️ If you’re feeling emotionally stirred, creatively lit up, or unsure how to use your voice—remember: you’re not here to get it perfect. You’re here to get it true.
This week’s energy reminds us that Radical Self-Trust doesn’t always mean speaking up. Sometimes it means waiting. Sometimes it means saying the hard thing with love. And sometimes it means knowing that your presence alone is the message.
